If you are looking for an ATV trailer that will function on rough terrain, this is it. I have an Equinox trailer that I use around the woods near home. It is advertised as an off-road ATV trailer, however, it doesn't have a suspension. The high center of gravity on most ATV designed off-road trailers (for clearance) demands that the trailer have a suspension for rough terrain. This trailer not only provides the clearance, it is narrow enough to maneuver most off-road paths, and, adjust for differences in terrain of up to a foot. The tandem wheels provide extra stability when negotiating very rocky ground so that the trailer doesn't tip. This is very important for off-road use as most experienced wildnerness people know. This unit has quality steel construction (which requires a little more care than pvc ATV trailers). However, if you keep it covered (a large lawn tractor cover works perfectly) ClassicŪ Deluxe Tractor Cover there is no reason to disfavor the steel construction. I use this trailer for assisting a local wildlife resuce. We have been able to recover significant animals (a half grown moose calf for instance) from almost impossible terrain. It won't exactly go everywhere, but, it will go most places that other ATV trailers can't.
