This is the second pair of hand leaf scoops I have owned, the first pair given to me by a neighbor a few years ago. The original scoops were considerably thicker and much more stable when picking up scoops of leaves. The current pair is about half the thickness of the original pair, they are flimsy and easily buckle or bend easily when more than a few leaves are scooped at any one time. The thinness of the scoops also makes it more difficult to control not spilling leaves between the ground and the garbage bag. Frankly, the new product is disappointing, and had I known this problem to exist with the current scoops, I would not have purchased them. I regret this problem very much, because the first pair I had were superb and served me well for several years, until I gave them to my son, who is now making very good use of them in his garden.
