Although the retail price for this chair is $70, I purchased one similar at a fair for about $70 and it is a bit better than this one. However, when you can get this chair for $20, it is worth it. The areas where this chair doesn't quite stack up to my $70 model are: 1. Arm straps are no sewn in, they slip freely along the wooden poles. You can rectify this by wedging them in there or perhaps use a staple gun, tack, or nail. I wedged mine in and it is okay - just not as comfortable as the other one. 2. Foot rest fabric is larger, but thinner, which makes it a bit more challenging to use; this is a very small difference. 3. Stitching is not as solid, but I think the chair should last a while. The stitching on the more expensive chair I have is more thorough and in lining around the connection points are much thicker. This chair has two water drainage holes in the seat, so standing water shouldn't be a problem. I live in Phoenix area AZ, so it is fairly dry here - not a good testing ground to see how well it holds up to wet conditions. Overall, I am glad I purchased this chair and I expect that it will last a long time. The more expensive chair will probably last longer, and is more comfortable, but for $20, I have no complaints.
