I bought this thinking I would be able to quickly switch between the trimmer attachment and the brush blade. You can, but this only comes with a single attachment shaft so you have to the allen wrench and another wrench to make the switch. I was expecting two shafts, one for each attachment. Mine does not like to have the throttle above halfway. It will sputter and try to die in thick grass but quickly speeds up when I move it away for a moment. If I squeeze the throttle all the way it will die. I am constantly having to feather the throttle to keep the RPM up enough to cut effectively but not high enough to make it turn off. While it runs it does a fantastic job. The string is very easy to change and the brush cutter makes quick work of small vines and the stuff too thick for the trimmer. The is no kickback when using the brush cutter and I feel safe while cutting. I will look for a second attachment shaft so I can quickly move from trimmer to cutter without having to break out the tools and stop working.
