Fork by Mr. Bar-B-Q is good design and quality - description is very poorly written. Here are some dimensions: full extened length is 26-1/2 inches tip to base of handle, collapsed length is 16 inches, extension tube diameter is a beefy 3/8 inch, fork is almost 3/16 inch thick by 4-3/4 inch long and handle is 5 inches. Extension tubes and fork are chrome plated. Tubes have small bearing detents that help to prevent the extensions from twisting when fully extended. Handle is made of good quality wood and nicely finished. Compared to Coghlan's Telescoping Fork, this Mr. Bar-B-Q fork has thicker fork & extension tubes and nicer wood handle. Coghlan's has a longer extended length (34 vs 26-1/2 in) and more compact collapsed length (16 vs 12 in), stainless steel (vs chrome) extension tubes & fork and nice feature to rotate fork by using a roller knob for even cooking while wood handle is firmly held. Price is the same, about $4 each. In my opinion, Mr. Bar-B-Q fork is better for hot dogs & Coglan's fork is better for marshmellows. Longer is probably better for a large camp fire. I would have rated 5 stars if longer extended length and stainless steel extension tubes and fork.
