After waiting a month for an MC-43, a company rep told me the unit was back-ordered. They did not respond to two earlier e-mail inquiries. After a month they shipped me the electric-start version, the MC-43E. During unpacking I found that the part called the middle handlebar, the arched part coming up from the unit, was broken through in the bending process almost half-way around. It won't last. Did they ever hear of a tubing bender? Second, after charging the battery and connecting it up, when I turned the key to start position, there was a flash of electric arc that seemed to come out of the battery box. After checking the wiring bundle for burns, I started the unit three times to see if it would work or burn out. It seems okay, but I seriously doubt the overall quality when it is delivered with a broken handlebar and made an big-time flash of a shorted wire somewhere the first time I tried to start it.
