Electric chain saws don't have the power that gasoline saws have, but this electric puts out a lot of power. The bar is not as strudy as my Poulan Pro gas model, but it cuts just as quickly, with less noise. If plugged in, it starts instantly. It is lighter to carry than a gas chain saw, with none of the gasoline fumes. It makes light work of limbing. I recommend this saw for the homeowner who has occassional need to cut limbs or to fell small trees.
