Product Description
No feathers. No beaks. No service. An exclusive avian snack bar in the sky strictly for the birds, this capacious and innovative wild bird feeder reserves the right to refuse service to pesky squirrels. To keep unsavory foragers out, a switch mechanism that breaks away under any squirrel's weight is integrated into each of the four perches on this feeder. A squirrel bellies up to the bar, triggers the switch, and closes off all feeder tubes simultaneously; foiling its own foraging attempts. With all tubes closed at once, smart squirrels can't sit on one perch and eat from an adjacent port. So, all you get are multitudes of avian visitors far more fun to watch than squirrels. And, there's plenty of food for the birds thanks to this feeders 3-1/2-pound seed capacity. A heavy duty metal cap and chew-proof metal perches protect this feeder from the elements, as well as the gnawing that frustrated squirrels might take to. For shelter, a clear plastic cover protects birds while feeding, yet doesn't block the beautiful plumage from view.

This bird feeder looked liked the solution to our problem with the squirrels, unfortunatley it is also the solution to the birds we have had the feeder up for a month, and the birds cannot figure out how to enter it, they stand on it, sit on the pole it is hanging on, but cannot get into it. Very disappointed, but it does keep the squirels off.
