The clear, polycarbonate feeder tube keeps the seed level visible at all times and is perfect for holding 1.5 pounds of seed. Simply slide the die-cast metal cap up the hanger for quick, convenient cleaning and filling. The silver, metal feeder base is equipped with drainage holes to keep seed dry and fresh. I bought my first Droll Yankee feeder at a local Wild Birds Unlimited franchise store, and I've been sold on the brand ever since. All of the Droll Yankee feeders are sturdy, attractive and functional. I moved into a new home about 6 months ago and currently the main feeder in my backyard is this 6-port Droll Yankee feeder; the birds love it since there's enough room for six of them to feed comfortably. While you're buying Droll Yankee, be sure to get one of their peanut feeders as well. Here in South Texas, we attract tufted titmice and scrub jays, among other species, with our peanut feeder.
